Introducing Loan EMI Payment on WhatsApp

Mahindra Finance has collaborated with National Payments Corporation of India's (NPCI) Bharat Bill Payment system (BBPS) to launch ClickPay for its customers over its WhatsApp channel. ClickPay is a one-of-its-kind payment link that enables customers to make recurring MF vehicle loan EMI payments. In this method, customers will be guided to click on a link sent to them over WhatsApp. Once the customer clicks on the ClickPay link, the customer’s UPI app on their handsets will be invoked, and billing information displayed over the UPI app selected by them. Customer will then have to review the displayed bill details and thereafter proceed to make the payment, without the need of typing any detail.

  • Convenience for the customers to initiate Loan EMI payment
  • No input required from the customer and hence avoiding the manual mistake or error while entering the payment amount
  • Uses the existing BBPS framework and hence existing customer-biller benefits prevails such as real time posting, customer complain management, settlement guarantee etc.
  • Results in quicker transaction life cycle as it eliminates the requirement to fetch the bills details before initiating the payment

Steps to make payment

Step 1

Customer checks his loan details on MF WhatsApp channel.

Step 2

Customer selects the option of ‘Pay your EMI’ on whatsapp post that.

Step 3

It will invoke the available payment apps (like paytm, phonepe, gpay etc) on customer’s handset.

Step 4

Customer selects an app and it will directly take the customer to the payment page of the app.

Step 5

Customer needs to authenticate the transaction through UPI, debit card, net banking.

Step 6

The payment app will show the successful transaction message and customer will also receive the confirmation sms on registered mobile number.
